Our Sugar Glider Health Guarantee
At Exotic Pet Homes, the health and well-being of our sugar gliders is our top priority. Every sugar glider we offer is guaranteed to be healthy, secure, and free from signs of infection at the time of shipment. Each one is carefully examined before leaving our care to ensure they are ready for their new home.
Our commitment to you does not end once your sugar glider arrives. As a family of experienced breeders and sugar glider counselors, we remain available to provide guidance and support throughout your journey. While we take every possible measure to ensure excellent health, we also recognize that factors such as genetics, nutrition, exercise, and daily care play an important role in a sugar glider’s long-term well-being.
We understand that sugar gliders are not replaceable due to the emotional bonds formed with them. However, in the unfortunate event of a loss, we aim to ease that hardship. If a sugar glider passes away within one (1) year of the purchase date, or is diagnosed within one (1) year with a health condition that significantly affects its quality of life, we will provide a replacement sugar glider of equal value at no additional cost.
To process a replacement, the cause of death or health condition must be verified by a licensed veterinarian, and a copy of the official veterinary report must be emailed to us.
Post-Arrival Veterinary Requirement
To activate and maintain this health guarantee, we require the following:
- A full veterinary health examination by a licensed veterinarian
- Submission of the medical record to Exotic Pet Homes within 10 business days of receiving your sugar glider
This step helps ensure your sugar glider remains healthy and allows early detection of any concerns.
Exceptions to the Health Guarantee
This health guarantee does not apply under the following circumstances:
- Failure to provide routine or necessary veterinary care
- Health issues resulting from improper diet, housing, neglect, or injury
- Costs associated with spaying or neutering, including undescended testicles
Pre-Shipment Veterinary Care
All sugar gliders from Exotic Pet Homes undergo a comprehensive health examination prior to shipment. This exam is performed by a licensed veterinarian who issues an official Veterinary Health Certificate on the date of shipping.
If any serious health concerns are identified during this examination, the sugar glider will not be shipped. This ensures you receive only healthy, well-cared-for pets.
